Message from Ms Stahl
2019-20 School YearMs Stahl
Welcome to the next chapter of your life here at CSMS. I am looking forward to an exciting and successful year again as I begin my 34th year of teaching. I was born and raised in New Jersey, but soon after I graduated college I found myself married and raising three children half way across the country in St. Louis, Missouri. I spent the first thirteen years teaching within the inner city limits of St. Louis and the latter years as a high school teacher in the suburbs of Lake Saint Louis. When I returned back to New Jersey ten years ago, I thought I would retire from teaching, but after three months of working in the business world, I knew I couldn’t live without teaching. I missed the adventures, life lessons, smiles, communication and most of all the joy I find in helping students grow--
The biggest thing you will learn about me this year is that I have loads of stories I like to share. My life has been full of many experiences. In addition to teaching, I have home instructed many students in the poorest neighborhoods , taken severely handicapped children into my home, taught every grade level and every subject, tried to save a few lives—and many more to come!!! I love to tell my stories because I believe that every experience has some lesson in it and every experience helps us grow stronger. My hope is that you experience many things this year to help you grow academically, emotionally and socially.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy every moment I spend with my wonderful children, family, my sweet granddaughters and grandson. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you. I am a firm believer that every student is able to learn through hard work, effort and a positive attitude. My philosophy about personal achievement is that it is made up of what you choose to “DO” in life. I know I will do everything I can make this a successful year for you!
