Class Dojo is a website that we are using as a classroom management tool. Each student has their own avatar. When a student is on task and does something good, they receive a dojo point. If they are not doing as they are supposed to, however, they can lose dojo points. As students accumulate points, they receive rewards. The whole class can gain or lose points as well. The great thing is that you can join in our Class Dojo account, and see how your child is doing during the school day. You can link via your smart phone or email account.
Besides for keeping track of classroom behavior, Class Dojo allows me to take pictures and videos of our days' events. I can post those videos immediately so that you get to see what your children are doing while they are at school.
Finally, Class Dojo has a messenger area. I like to use this to remind students of an upcoming event. I also use it as a way for students to communicate with me after school hours. I love to hear from your children, and I will respond as quickly as I can if they message me.
If you have not signed up for Class Dojo, please contact me and I will send home the information.
