Math In Focus - The Website

  • Math in Focus
    For Grades 1-5

    Dear Parent:

As part of the Math in Focus program for grades K-5, you and your child will have the opportunity to access an electronic copy of the student texts, workbooks and student/parent resources—also known as “e-books” or digital learning tools. This year, access to “Think Central” will be through a generic code that will not be school or grade specific. You will have access to all elementary student math texts and workbooks for grades K-5 as well as use of the “virtual manipulatives”. Please follow the directions below to access these materials.

    Go to:

    • You will open to a “Welcome to Think Central” page
      • Type in the following information:
        • State: NJ
        • District: Old Bridge Twp. School Dist. Matawan 07747
        • School: Old Bridge High School Matawan 07747*

This information is case sensitive so be certain to type in the passcode with all lower case letters.

    Username: MIFstudent

    Passcode: student

*The school name is OBHS since the program needed a generic location not one specific to an elementary or middle school. You may think that this information is an error since you are using a HS for elementary access

Once you open the “Library” icon, your access to this site will provide options to select either Textbook A or B (grades 1-5) or Workbook A or B (grades K-5). Virtual Manipulatives is an added resource this year so that your child will have resource tools to support their understanding of mathematical concepts.

Math in Focus online access will address any concerns expressed about opportunities to view the textbook pages as well as resources to support your child’s success with this program. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or your child’s teacher.

    Thank you,

    Jean M. Ferrara, Ed. D
