How to help @ CSMS Library/Learning Commons
The CSMS Library/Learning Commons welcomes donations of your unwanted books. Donated books will be added to the collection if they are in great shape and meet the selection criteria. Any books not added to the collection will be offered to teachers for classroom libraries, sold or traded during upcoming books swaps, or otherwise disposed of.
In addition, please check out the two wish lists below for some books that the students of CSMS would particularly love to have.
Scholastic Reading Club (Use activation code FV2MZ to check out the CSMS library's wish list and then order any titles you wish to donate through your child's teacher's monthly Scholastic order)
Sandburg students love playing tabletop games during their lunch. We would love to add Bananagrams, Uno, Connect 4 and Sorry! to our collection.
Our makerspace is in need of many items that you may have laying around the house. We would be happy to put any of the items below to good use.
Batteries (all sizes, including button batteries)
Cardboard (not corrugated or food boxes)
Fabric (scrap cloth pieces)
Gallon, snack, and sandwich baggies
Liquid white glue
Paper fasteners (brads)
Patterned acid free medium paper (scrapbook paper)
Plastic disposable cups, multiple sizes
String (multiple colors)
Students are welcome to volunteer in the library/learning commons. After training, students can help to shelve books, maintain our makerspace and computers, or do other jobs of interest. Please see Mrs. Jager for more information.
