8th Grade - Technology & Graphic Design Class
Welcome to the 8th grade Technology & Design.
Here you will find information on current and past happenings in the 8th grade classes.
We are starting the year off learning the basic principles of design and problem solving. Students will be engaged in a variety of hands on design challenges while applying the "Problem Solving and Design Loop" process.
Next we will be using CAD type software to apply basic 3D design modeling techniques to layout and design, floor plans, buildings, landscape and more.
After the Computer Aided Design portion of the course students will learn HTML programming language for web page design. Students will create multiple web pages from scratch using HTML code, link them together and upload graphics.
The final section of the course will take us to an introduction to Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Photoshop is the industry-standard tool for digital imaging, which makes Photoshop expertise a valuable commodity in todays work force. Students will learn how to create a basic work flow for photo editing, how to apply and manipulate layers, and other special effects and techniques for graphic design and photo editing.
