Welcome to Old Bridge Township Public Schools

  • Old Bridge Township Public Schools is a 42-square mile suburban school district located at the southern end of Middlesex County, in central New Jersey.  The district has a total daytime student enrollment of just under 9,000 pupils, and students are housed in a pre-kindergarten annex, twelve elementary schools grades K-5, two middle schools grades 6-8, and a single campus high school with a separate facility for 9th graders. Old Bridge High School ranks among the largest high schools in the state.

Old Bridge Township was founded upon rich family traditions and a commitment to community values. Our schools are a reflection of those founding pillars. Through a character driven fabric that is generously woven through our programs in the academics, athletics, and the arts; Old Bridge Township Schools will always be a tremendous source of local pride and global impact.

Maintaining safe learning environments is our priority. We have embarked on a campaign to strengthen the perimeters of our schools, increase our police manpower, and heighten our threat intelligence gathering. We have a valuable school risk assessment partnership with county and state officials and a collaborative relationship with the Old Bridge Police Department.

The Old Bridge Board of Education is goal oriented and stands by its community-driven Mission 2022 Strategic Plan that focuses on the following areas:

    Excellence in Education
    Facilities & Finance
    The Whole Child

All goals, whether found in our Mission 2022 Strategic Plan or in our Board’s District Goals are always student centered with an overarching goal of continuous improvement in student performance indicators. To this end, the Old Bridge School District is very proud of its accomplishments in the area of school climate. In addition to being recognized as a Character.org National District of Character with every school individually recognized as a National School of Character, the Old Bridge School District has been designated in the TOP 100 School Districts in New Jersey, TOP 25 Safest School Districts in New Jersey, and the TOP 50 Best Places to Teach of 393 New Jersey school systems. We are by no means finished improving our educational product as we strive to reach every student every day. We have accomplished much to be OB Proud of in the past 5 years. However, there is so much more WE CAN DO TOGETHER because our undertaking was never about a moment; but a movement and the climb has just begun!
