My name is Ms. Capolino and I am thrilled to be your student’s Art Teacher this year! I am excited to have the opportunity to be a part of your student’s creative and artistic experiences.
Throughout the year, I will be exposing students to a variety of different art materials, art styles, and artists. Students will also learn how to use the Elements of Art and Principles of Design to create fun and interesting Art compositions. I will be keeping a majority of student artwork in anticipation of the numerous bulletin boards, school displays, and art shows happening this year. As a result, student art work may or may not be returned right away but all art work will be returned by the end of the school year for your enjoyment.
It is my expectation that every student will do their personal best in art class just as they would in any other classes. Qualities for success in art class are: a positive attitude, good listening skills, and a willingness to put forward your best effort and creativity. Students will be graded each week (Outstanding, Satisfactory, Needs Improvement) based on their own personal effort and progress. Effort is always more important than talent if students try their best they will succeed in art class.
If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact me at KCapolino@obps.org
Looking forward to the school year!
