Voorhees First Grade - Our First Grade Blurbs
Welcome To Our First Grade Webpage, we hope you enjoy it. On this webpage you will find how to contact us, resources and tips of how to foster learning and reading at home with your child, our school calendar, a little about our character education pillars and much more!
Here is our first grade pledge as well as a poem that we as first grade teachers find inspiring:
I pledge today to do my best,
in Reading, Math, and all the rest.
I promise to obey the rules,
in my class and in my school.
I'll respect myself and others too,
I'll expect the best in all I do.
I am here to learn all I can,
to do my best and be all I can.
Whose Child is This?
Author Unknown"Whose child is this?" I asked one daySeeing a little one out at play"Mine", said the parent with a tender smile"Mine to keep a little whileTo bathe his hands and comb his hairTo tell him what he is to wearTo prepare him that he may always be goodAnd each day do the things he should""Whose child is this?" I asked againAs the door opened and someone came in"Mine", said the teacher with the same tender smile"Mine, to keep just for a little whileTo teach him how to be gentle and kindTo train and direct his dear little mindTo help him live by every ruleAnd get the best he can from school""Whose child is this?" I ask once moreJust as the little one entered the door"Ours" said the parent and the teacher as they smiledAnd each took the hand of the little child"Ours to love and train togetherOurs this blessed task forever."Feel free to contact us at any time, with any questions or concerns. The best way to contact is through email.Mrs. Scott- firstname.lastname@example.orgMrs. Sanft- email@example.comMiss Bonett- firstname.lastname@example.orgMs. Rosenbaum- email@example.comWe will get back to you as soon as we can.Yours Truly,Mrs. Scott, Mrs. Sanft, Miss Bonett & Ms. Rosenbaum
