Peers Present Anti-Bullying, Peer Pressure, Drug Prevention Assembly

Carl Sandburg Middle School will hold its annual Peer Leadership anti-bullying, peer pressure, and drug prevention assembly for members of the PTA, parents, students, and community at 6 p.m. on Nov. 1 at the school.

The show, which will address inclusiveness, drugs, religion, gender identity, and bullying, also will be presented to students at the grade 6-8 facility at 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 26.

The assembly, “Imperfect is Perfect!”, will address topics, including inclusiveness, drugs, religion, gender identity, and bullying.  The program will feature members of the eighth grade Peer Leadership Club, who will sing, dance, perform skits, and recite poetry, which will express the message of good citizenship and ways to be an upstander, not a bystander.

The theme was selected to help those understand how to support and encourage their peers in thoughtful, respectful, and compassionate ways.

Carl Sandburg Middle School is located at 3439 Route 516, Old Bridge.
