2017 PRINCETON UNIVERSITY

This year, students from the 4th grade traveled to Princeton University for a day of art history and college exploration. Although it was a bit cold, the sun came out and students enjoyed their tour around campus. Students were broken down into three different tours and got to learn about various sights around campus. Students toured the Neuroscience Institute, the Environmental Institute, the Cotsen Children's Library, the Princeton University Chapel, and Princeton University's composting and earth materials project. Students learned about sustainability, the environment, architecture, geology, and a bit of historical pranking between Rutgers and Princeton students! All students were treated to lessons in art history with docents at the Princeton Art Museum. Students listened to stories about Modigliani, Van gogh, Warhol, and Monet. They learned about Revolutionary war stories that happened right on the Princeton University campus too! Prior to the trip our students studied pieces from various collections and were excited to see their pieces in real life! Take a look at our pictures from our trip. Enjoy!
