ABOUT THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COUNSELING PROGRAM

The Elementary School Counseling Program (ESCP) Is Proactive:

The Elementary School Counseling program was designed to reflect the standards set by the National School Counseling Association. It is the goal of the ESCP to enhance student learning through collaborative efforts that create positive changes throughout the school district.

The ESCP is based on a three-tiered direct-service delivery system. (See Figure 1.1) The national standards for student success are implemented directly to students via individual counseling services, small group instruction and classroom instruction. Indirect services are delivered via imparting skills and knowledge to parents and educators as well as building community collaborations that reinforce the national core standards.
