CLASS PARENT INFORMATION

Our class parents are always an integral part of the school, and we look forward to this year’s volunteers helping us create wonderful memories again! Class Parent sign up will be held on Back to School Night, where sign up will take place inside your child’s classroom. As you consider volunteering for this important role, please review the expectations below to ensure full participation is possible.

  • Must be a paid PTA member.

  • Class parents are expected to come to PTA meetings to then inform other parents in the class via email of Cooper news and events. Email addresses of parents that wish to be informed will be provided.

  • Class parents are needed to run three class parties a year: one in the fall, one for the holiday party, and one for the end of the year. Each class parent will be given money to purchase a healthy snack, craft, and water. No cupcakes or baked goods are allowed. Class parties are usually from 2pm to 3pm

  • Class Parents are asked to participate in the Beach Cleanup event

  • Class Parents will be needed to help the class put together items for Thanksgiving Philanthropy.

  • Class parents are asked to put together a class basket for the Tricky Tray, come to the basket wrapping night (date TBA), as well as help out at the event.

  • Class parents are asked to help run Cooper Fun Day.

$15 in cash will be collected at the beginning of the school year per student for class parties; three dollars will go towards the tricky tray basket. Therefore, the class parents will have money for all of the three parties at the beginning of the school year.
