The courses in the Social Studies Department are aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and high school graduation requirements. A wide variety of comprehensive electives are also offered to junior and senior students. Today's students, more than ever before, need an understanding of the world's history and its people. Understanding the world's many cultures can contribute to fostering respect and civic participation. Advanced Placement courses enable the serious student to earn college credit upon successful completion of the AP exam.
