Old Bridge High School junior Ashley Markle has been named the 2025–26 Gatorade New Jersey Volleyball Player of the Year, one of the top honors in high school athletics.
Ashley led the Knights to a 33–1 season and the Group 4 state championship, finishing the year with 405 kills, 98 aces, and 157 digs. She earned First Team All-State honors for the second time and was named NJ.com MVP of the state semifinals and Big10 Sports MVP of the state championship match. She is also a member of the USA Volleyball National Team Beach Volleyball Development Program.
In addition to her success on the court, Ashley is involved in Play Unified and the school’s Hope Squad. She maintains a 4.1 GPA and has verbally committed to play beach volleyball at Florida State University beginning in fall 2027.
