OBTPS Weekly Update - December 4, 2020
This week’s update offers an optimistic approach as we prepare for upcoming holidays and some winter weather. We believe in One OB and the enthusiasm that our community fosters when we support one another. We have included a sample flier with an overview of upcoming events for our students, staff, parents, and administrators. Our Positivity Committee will continue to meet and will work collaboratively with the District Community Relations and Engagement Committee to establish additional supports and outreach for all of our stakeholders.
This flier will be updated regularly and will be accessible on our district website. Please note that Dr. Jared Scherz from Teacher Coach will host a live webinar from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on December 17, 2020. This seminar is meant for parents to provide supports for building resilience, dealing with stress, self-preservation, and coping during the pandemic. A question and answer period to delve into specific issues will be included.
Please register if you are interested in attending: December 17, 2020 @ 7:00 p.m.
December 7th we will launch our first of several weekly competitions so get ready to get creative. Details will be provided this weekend. All supplies will be household items.
Please be reminded that due to the forecast calling for inclement weather for this Saturday, COVID testing at OBHS will be changed to this Sunday, December 6th 9am-3pm.
We hope you can find your holiday spirit and during a time when so many are struggling, dig deep to focus on the positive that surrounds us rather than dwell on the things that are out of our control.
